Gaze

Tired of these lover’s gazes

Not directed at me.

Tired of loneliness

It haunts me,

Every gaze I see.

I do not want their end.

I merely want one to look back,

A face that gazes at me,

More than just friends in those eyes.

It's been a long time since I posted. But now I’m back finally. I wrote this poem a long time ago but never posted it. Lately, I’ve had a lot of emotional turmoil and perhaps in this reflective state, I feel comfortable with the vulnerability that my poetry brings to the table. While this is an old poem, I still come back to this poem at difficult moments for I think these thought many a day.

A friend of mine finally kicked me into posting (thanks Ikram). But I have been writing regularly lately.

If you just found out I’m a poet, I have many more stories and poems already posted and I’ll be posting more regularly now (hopefully).
